My dad was the greatest dad in all the world. When he went, part of me went too. No one will ever
compare to him, no one will ever replace him. A dad and his daughter share a special bond and it
feels like the end of the world to me. Nothing prepares you for the loss. I have memories of him.
He was so loving and SO FUNNY. I laugh at all the joys and laughter he bought to us all. I love you
dad, now and forever. Thanks Dad, and thanks for the feathers and pennies from Heaven.
In loving memory of my dad. Janis XXXX

What is Dying?
A ship sails and I stand watching till she fades on the horizon and someone at my side says 'She is gone'.
Gone where? Gone from my sight, that is all. She is just as large now as when I last saw her. Her diminished size and total loss from my sight is in me, not in her.
And just at the moment when someone at my side says she is gone there are others who are watching her coming over their horizon and other voices take up a glad shout 'There she comes!'
That is what dying is. An horizon and just the limit of our sight.
Lift us up, Oh Lord, that we may see further.
